Ripples

I'm too lazy to write anything today, so I'm just going to share this poem that I wrote two years ago. Enjoy! ^_^

I will rip the earth from the sky and discover the truth
that has hidden itself in the hills and valleys
of the way the earth moves when I see you.
I feel
...a
shattering, a
staggering, a
crippling,
unexplained, unanswered wavering of the footprints
left in the sand despoiled by the waves of the oppressors.
The ephemeral comfort we cast about for and thought to find
in arms unbending, yours and mine,
is but a lie.
A lie.
A lie.
Did we cast the dice too soon? Did we leave the shores unbidden?
I long to find an answer just, that lays a cooling balm
on the hearts of the afflicted few, who know the joys and sorrows true
of one whose love is lost.

I'd say that my ‡adventure‡ to Provo with my sisters today was a success! ^_^ I got pretty much everything that I was looking for and had a great time with my sisters. Thanks to Joann's I got all of the fabric I needed and a little advice on a few things. Unfortunately, I had to trespass into Voldemart for the leggings and desk lamp and thankfully came out alive and only slightly poorer.
So...College...yeah, about that. I'm taking my last 3 general classes I can and now have to declare a major. Today, I bit the bullet and went to an advisor at the UVU main campus and with their help I declared my major...Are you ready for this? I don't know if you are! I don't know if I am! It had to be done...Elementry Education...Yep, I'm going to learn how to teach little munchkins, hopefully without loosing my cool. ^_^ I have always wanted to be a teacher and elementry seemed like a good place to start. NOT the really young grades though. I don't know if I'd have enough patience for that. No, I'll teach the older grades I think. I guess I'll really find out what I like though as I take classes and learn more. Horray for learning!
So I have a secret. I'm not telling anyone what it is, until after certain events occur. Then and only then, will I tell you all what it is. I'm soooo excited! ^_^ ☼
Oooh! I think my pizza's done! Yummy.

I gotta letter!

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!! Can I just say how great it is to get a letter from a missionary? I love it! ^_^ It makes me so happy on the inside. I just wanted to share that with all of you. ^_^ Yaaaaaaaaaaaay!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hahaha brief! ☺

Sooo...I was considering updating...maybe I will after all. ^_^ I mean, 3 oclock in the morning isn't that late, er, early is it? *blinks* Okay maybe it is. :/ I'll just be brief then.
Today was the last day of assigned torture! To translate, I no longer will be babysitting two wonderful children on a regular basis. For the past 2-3 months every monday and wednesday, I have had the pleasure of watching Keegan (5) and Aubynn (3) from about 10am-3pm. Now don't get me wrong, I learned a lot of patience from them! I also learned for myself how small children can be like parrots, repeating things that you didn't mean to be heard ever again...Nothing bad mind you, but not exactly nice either. I do honestly love those children, but I can't stand how spoiled they are! At the first sign of a No passing from my lips, both children bust out the water works and expect me to change my answer to a Yes. I'm sorry, but tears are not a very convicing argument for me. I tried breaking them of this nasty habit, but I'm afraid that I was not totally succesful. By the end of this...not trial...what's the word I'm looking for? anyway, by the end of this, the children did learn that I don't give into everything they ask for. They did teach me a lot, but I am glad that I won't have to watch them regularly anymore. This sounds terrible I know, but they try a person's patience with their constant stream of questions and their very, very, short attention spans. I will gladly continue to babysit them if they ever need me for an emergency, but in the mean time, I plan on storing up new things that I can teach them. Did you know that they had no idea where Idaho was?
I could go into work at Dairy Keen right now...I think I'll just make one comment. For every employee that gets fired, we end up with someone who has the exact characteristics that encouraged release in the first place. Will we never be rid of the "Jordan Conlin"?! Maybe there'll be more info on him later. Skyler, if by some freak incident you read this...you are not Jordan Conlin...right...nothing like him...yeah...
hahaha! brief! ^_^

The Adventure...BEGINS!!!

Hello! ☺
I saw that a few of my friends had started a blog, and you know what? I decided to start one for myself and I'm pleased as peaches! ^_^ There is one thing that I would like to point out though...I do not have a red dress. ':/ However! I am in the process of making one and can't wait to finish it! I'd tell you what it looks like, but you'll just have to wait and see. :3 It will be done this week, that I can guarantee.
Now I will be using this blog to incite myself to becoming a greater person. Let me es'plain. No, there is too much. Let me sum up. As my readers, I will report to you on current projects and goals so, because I will be reporting to "somebody" I will feel obliged to actually finish projects and start many new ones because I've told you, my friends, that I will. ^_^ It makes sense in my mind, which my mother tells me is important. I promise that won't be the only thing I write about! This is after all an ♦Adventure Log♦ So I will also record my adventures for the day, like today for example. My family and I were driving home from a visit to grandmas and guess what happens?! We can't see the road for the downporing rain! We were going quite slow and ran our car through what felt like rivers of water collecting on the road. It was quite a relief when we could finally see the road again, I don't mind telling you! Anywho, that was an example of the storys to come, maybe not so epic in the dramatic sense but at least interesting. Every Day an ♦Adventure♦ ^_^ I also included that this will be my insights as well. As passing thoughts strike my mind (hopefully not too hard) I will write them here. Or as questions crop up I will ask the world, aka you, and hope for some type of an answer or that we may puzzle through it together. Now this may be like what the world would look like if it had no color and whether or not you would include black and white as colors. You know, regular things like that. ;) Well I feel that I have given all readers plenty of heads up for what may be to come. May you enjoy this ride we call life as much as I do.
Hooray! ☼ I'm all excited about this new adventure! I've never done anything like this really, so this is going to be a thriller♪ I will just say that I am prone to using references from various forms of media and inside jokes. If you would like to know what it is that I'm quoting, feel free to ask away! I do require that you see ► or listen ♫ to whatever it is that I quote if you have not previously seen/listened to it before. Believe me, I only quote the best. ^_^
Well I think that I've bored you enough for one day and so I bid you all a good night.
